Marina – that’s exactly what I was thinking (about Alexander Skarsgard)! I imagined Lestat looking much like him. In the end , though, looks don’t matter as much as if the actor embodies the character.

I think I need a reading chart for who is who’s maker – getting confused with all of these names. Thanks for clearing that up Sia!

And thought my excitement over The Vampire Chronicles is palpible (I’m sure you can hear the excitement and giddyness in the audio), I’m still not sold on RDJ. I’m open to it but he wouldn’t be my first choice. Actually, having just seen the most recent episode of TB with Erik all spruced up…I’d put Alexander Skarsgård’s name up as Lestat. I think he has the look and the charisma to pull off that role. Beautifully.

Thanks for the head’s up on Maria being Jasper’s maker – now that makes more sense! There is so much out there now about Eclipse with it filming it’s hard to avoid all the pics and stories.. I’m trying.. I wanna still be all psyched for New Moon!

I’m with ya Wray on RDJ – never would have guessed him for Lestat either but I’m sure he could do it! I hope there is a while before those get released, would like to read the books again but I have quite a backlog to get through at the moment!

I’m always willing to give a new vampire series a go, enjoying Vampire Diaries books so far but I can see how the characters could be uninteresting.

That’s great news about Vampire Chronicles even though I wasn’t a fan of the movies or the books. I just alot of people who like the books and the movies.
I’m just not that huge of a vampire lover I guess haha ..
I thought the new trailer was awesome and I CAN’T WAIT FOR THE MOVIE ! And I know what you mean about not trying to watch anything new until the movie. I’M GOING TO TRY REALLY HARD.
I appreciate your podcasts every week girls and that thankful that you guys keep word and continue to update your site and the podcasts.
And I wanted to let you guys know that Maria is JASPER’S MAKER NOT A NEWBORN ! hehe ..

Take care and I can’t wait for the whole the vampire diaries show (thought the books were ok). But I’ll try to watch the show. For some reason reading the books I found the characters unrealistic and uninteresting. But that’s just me.

Hey Guys!

Wow – that’s great news about the renewed interest in Rice’s Vampire Chronicles. How time flies! I read “Interview with a Vampire” in my teens and thought it was one of the most unique stories I had ever read. It’s still one of my favorites, but I never read beyond “Memnoch the Devil”. On your recommendation I will try “Pandora”. I really loved the Mayfair Witches stories too.

I agree with you guys about RDJ having charisma to spare – enough to pull off most any part, but it was a surprise to think of him as Lestat. I would never have thought of it.

Great to see that there will be backstories on the Cullens in the “Eclipse” movie! So now we have confirmation of Rosalie’s tale (with Royce King) and Jasper’s story (with Maria). Yea! Maria, incidentally, is Jasper’s maker.

Lots to look forward to.
