  1. Wray Said,

    Just a quick comment:
On Chris Weitz’ interview with EW, I simply took his comment to mean that New Moon is generally the fans’ least favorite of the books (certainly not MY opinion since it’s my favorite) and people have been known to speed through all the Jacob stuff to get to Edward’s return. Therefore, it is difficult for Edward fans to “get through” the book. This is something he may have learned from Stephenie Meyer because WAY back when New Moon first came out, she received a lot of mail from Jacob-haters. In fact, she posted her “Being Jacob Blank” extras due to this.

  2. Wray Said,

OK – I meant Jacob BLACK, not “Blank” – funny though:)

  3. Shannon the Movie Moxie Said,

Interesting point Wray. I’ll admit I started reading them after all four books were released so there was no waiting to get to the next one (or any doubt that there would be another one), so for the Team Edward folks it might have been trudging.

  4. Wray Said,

I don’t think anyone doubted that there would be another book, but the lack of the Edward character was difficult for many (most) fans. In addition, you have Edward walking away from Bella in what appears to be a cruel way, and you have Bella essentially falling in love with someone else and Jacob behaving badly at the end. It’s a Twilight fan’s nightmare:) New Moon and Eclipse mark the beginning of the Bella backlash too.

For me, this is where the story starts to get interesting…

  5. Becca Said,

    I agree with you Wray!
I came across a link that i thought was quite interesting! http://www.bellasdiary.com/?p=5907
This great website tells you all the mistakes in New Moon, i have to agree with them..what do you think?

  6. Wray Said,

These are always fun to read – I used to always read the “trivia” section of IMDB for the same stuff plus other goodies. If this list is complete, it’s a very short list compared to most movies. Things like hair and clothing continuity errors are ridiculously common, but they really had to be searching HARD to find sound equipment reflection in a tail light.

The Virgin America thing is surely meant to be a joke. I kinda loved that. It would be a lot less funny if they had Virgin Atlantic or any other airline, dontcha think?

There was another Burger King product placement that was deleted – maybe it’ll make it to the DVD special features! JK!
