I know you guys can’t be serious about making us wait until next week to talk about the Eclipse trailer? That’s just mean.LOL
We’re not mean, we promise. Simply brushing up our genius!
Thanks for letting me know Marina, I’m looking forward to Monday.
Hey girls,
Love this show and I just wanted to let you know some of the books I’ve enjoyed lately.
1. The Host by Stephenie Meyer-
It’s slow at the beginning BUT don’t give up it’s an amazing breathtaking book. I loved it so much !
2. Blood and Chocolate
3. Wake, Fade and Gone.
This is a three part series and it’s really short and simple. The third book didn’t live up to my expectations but it was ok. I think you’ll like this.
4. Iron King
5. Shiver by Maggie S.-
It’s pretty good.
I’ve enjoyed your recommendations which I have read.
The ones I loved were-
Twilight of course my favorite of the books.
Vampire Academy
The Giver
Hunger Games
Liked but didn’t love-
Catching Fire
House of Night only went to book 4 then gave up. Tired of the witch craft circles happening all
the time.
Immortals series- Only liked the first two books but the third was REALLY BAD.
Hated-
Mortal Instruments- I’m sorry but I only finished a third of the first book
Vampire Diaries- Way too slow.
Sorry this is so long ! I would of emailed but thought this would be easier.
I love the show girls and cant’ wait for more ! Thanks for posting a new podcast every week that’s hard to find now a days.
Love ya !
Oooo. More BOOKS! Thanks Sia. And good to know about The Host. I started it twice and never managed to get past page 50. Considering you and I seem to be on the same boat for stuff we’ve read (mostly
) I’m going to give it another shot. As for the rest, adding them to the reading list!
Sia – quick question. Who’s the author of Iron King? Seems that there are a number of books by that title! I’d like to be sure I’ve got the right one.
Thanks so much for the comment Sia – it’s great to hear your take on things and to get more recommendations of course
The Host has been on my to read list since last May. I will get to it one of these days!
Looking forward to Blood & Chocolate – I have that one out of the library and need to get to it soon.
I read Wake recently and LOVED it. Read it in less than a day & am itching to get my hands on Fade & Gone.
Catching Fire wasn’t as good as The Hunger Games but I still enjoyed it.
I’m kinda loosing patience with House of Night series. Just read Book 5 and feels like not much happens or all the same happens. I actually like the circles, but again it’s a lot of repetition.
Sorry to hear Vampire Diaries and Mortal Instruments weren’t your style. Good news is though there still are lots of other books out there to explore!
If booky folk are on GoodReads, feel free to friend me: http://www.goodreads.com/moviemoxie
House of Night is one of these things now that I have to finish just to see how it ends. I’m too far into the series to just drop it now!
And good call on the GoodReads link Shannon – I kind of forgot to put that in the show notes! Oops. I’m here:
